Keel Residential grew out of years spent inside Baltimore rentals: turning units, fixing what broke and watching owners lose money to slow vendors and vague statements.
We started as the vendor.
Abdallah Bechir co-owns 5 Star Pros DMV, a Baltimore-based repair and renovation company. The crew does make-ready turns, inspections and repairs on rental homes, including work for national single-family rental operators and local property managers.
That work shows you the business from the inside. You see which managers move fast and which let a unit sit empty for six weeks waiting on a painter. You see owners getting statements they can't read and invoices that were marked up twice. And you see that the job owners actually need done is simpler than the industry makes it: fill the home with the right tenant, keep it in good shape, collect the rent, follow the law and report clearly.
Keel Residential is that job, done by people who can also fix the house.

In Maryland, managing rental property for others is real estate brokerage. It requires a license and runs through a licensed broker, who holds trust money in escrow and supervises the work.
Keel Residential is preparing to open in January 2027. Real estate brokerage and property management services in Maryland will be provided under a Maryland-licensed sponsoring broker, named here at launch. No management agreements are signed, and no rent or deposits are accepted, until then.
